Sometimes the best goodbyes are the loudest ones. As the fourth-generation 718 Cayman prepares to exit production this October, Porsche Netherlands commissioned a one-off GT4 RS that’s impossible to ignore. Nicknamed “The Tulip,” this Pastel Orange tribute combines Dutch national pride with Manthey Racing’s track-focused wizardry, creating what might be the most aggressively patriotic Porsche ever built.
Born as a collaboration between Porsche Netherlands, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, Sonderwunsch personalization program, and Manthey Racing – the result is a 718 Cayman GT4 RS that celebrates both the end of an era and Dutch automotive enthusiasm in the most visually striking way possible.

Orange You Glad It’s Not Subtle
The Pastel Orange finish covers nearly everything visible, from the carbon fiber hood intakes to the aero discs and even the Porsche lettering on the rear spoiler. Tulip logos grace the front fenders, while a Dutch flag pinstripe runs across the rear wing alongside Manthey Racing branding. And, the 20-inch forged magnesium wheels wear satin black finish with carbon aero discs on the rear.
Inside, the theme continues with illuminated tulip motifs on the door sills and embroidered tulips on the bucket seat headrests. Black leather and Race-Tex provide the base, while Pastel Orange piping, embroidery, and door straps ensure you never forget what country this car represents. Porsche even created matching accessories: a color-coordinated key and case, a special edition Chronograph 718 Cayman GT4 RS, and a thermos mug – and yes, all of which feature that tulip branding.

Manthey Magic Under the Orange
Beneath the national color scheme sits serious hardware. The GT4 RS foundation provides a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six producing 495 horsepower, paired with Porsche’s sharpest chassis tuning. But The Tulip goes further with the optional Weissach Package and Manthey Kit, which costs $53,946 plus fitting in the U.S. market.
The Manthey upgrades add aggressive carbon fiber aerodynamic components, including a larger rear wing with gurney flap, plus suspension and setup changes that shaved over six seconds from the standard GT4 RS’s Nürburgring lap time. Where the regular GT4 RS runs a 7:09 lap, The Tulip’s Manthey-enhanced configuration achieves 7:03.121.

Farewell Performance
As we previously mentioned, production of the current 718 Cayman ends in October 2025, marking the conclusion of Porsche’s fourth-generation mid-engine sports car. While details about the next-generation Cayman still remain limited, this one-off commission gives us a beautiful curtain call for the 718 platform.
The Tulip will debut at Circuit Zandvoort during the Dutch Grand Prix weekend (August 29-31), giving it a home-country reveal before an audience that will appreciate both the engineering and the cultural references. Whether it remains with Porsche Netherlands or finds a private collector remains unclear, but either way, it represents a fitting send-off for the 718 generation.
