It might be a reach to say that we’re living in the golden age of campers right now, but it is undeniable that the camping space is experiencing unprecedented levels of popularity. Brands throughout the space are using all their resources to make the most versatile, eye-catching, and fun campers they can imagine. One brand that’s making waves with their stout truck campers is LOKI, whose latest addition to their catalog, the Icarus series, offers a compact, lightweight alternative to their stellar Falcon camper.

Okay, perhaps lightweight is a bit of a reach given that the Icarus series is still a truck camper, but it features a reinforced fiberglass hull that will undoubtedly be more forgiving on the suspension of your truck than the Falcon. This lighter construction allows for more off-road possibilities, which was the goal LOKI had in mind while designing the Icarus series. LOKI reinforced the fiberglass structure with an aluminum structure to extend its longevity while increasing its capacity. Moreover, the Icarus series is a true four-season camper due to its double-density synthetic composite insulation and high-efficiency A/C and heating unit. Another key feature of its insulation is the Icarus series’ Lexan Windows, which feature a DOT-certified double pane acrylic glazing and can be fully opened to allow for maximum ventilation. With respect to power, the Icarus series boasts an impressive electrical system that consists of a 2,000W inverter and charger, a 600Ah lithium power bank, and rooftop solar panels that generate up to 300W. The camper’s interior is equally impressive, featuring a full bed, kitchenette, wood furnishings, and a removable interior shower.

The Icarus series offers a six-foot model and an eight-foot model, both being compatible with most pickup trucks on the market. The MSRP of the Icarus series starts at $69,000, and LOKI is offering reservation slots for when they start production for $5,000.
