Another day, another addition to LEGO’s Speed Champions lineup. Having released small-scale models of the Countach, F1 LM, and even a Bond-Minifigure-equipped DB5 in the past year or so, it was only a matter of time until the famous toymaker wheeled out a brick-built spin on another remarkable hypercar in the Pagani Utopia.

Measuring 1.5″ high, 5.5″ wide, and 3″ wide, it’s obvious you can’t compare this to one of the Danish brand’s more lavish, $400 TECHNIC cars. Still, it remains authentic from end to end, as LEGO implemented all the details that make the insanely exclusive car so powerful in real life, including a central 4-pipe exhaust, gorgeous bodywork, a lengthy front grill, wheel arches, and an engine hidden under glass. It even comes equipped with a racer Minifigure decked out in Pagani-branded gear, proving that even LEGO’s smallest builds offer the maximum attention to detail.

While the new build only consists of 249 pieces, don’t let its lowly age recommendation stop you from nabbing it. If you’re a fan of the high-octane Italian marque, this is the first-ever opportunity to get your hands on a LEGO-crafted build of any Pagani model — that’s an opportunity you just can’t pass up. Whether you line it up alongside a bevy of other Speed Champions models or want to leave it on your desk at the office, it’s safe to assume its more attainable than the actual Utopia, of which there are only a total of 99 spoken-for examples still undergoing the production process. Plus, look at the bright side, the twin-turbocharged coupe took well over six years to develop and several testing methods — while this shouldn’t take you more than a couple of hours!
