Based in Cleveland, LAND Moto is an American EV startup that’s building minimalistic, custom-inspired electric motorcycles. And after initially rolling out its first model, the District — a cafe-themed two-wheeler — the company has now introduced a second variant with the new LAND District Scrambler.
Based on the existing District bike, the Scrambler-spec gains an MX-style high-mount front fender, a blacked out set of proprietary colted aluminum wheels, and a pair of knobby tires. This American-made two-wheeler is powered by a 17kW (23hp) motor that allows for a top speed of over 70mph when in the bike’s highest power mode. Additionally, the motor also puts down a whopping 206ft-lbs of instantaneous tire-shredding torque. Paired with an automatic twist-and-go transmission, the motor also draws from a swappable 72-volt battery that affords a range of up to 120 miles on a single charge.
The District Scrambler is available in an off-road-only version, or in a street-legal variant that comes outfitted with an array of road-legal lighting including a 5.7” circular 3,240-lumen LED headlight, an LED taillight, and alll-LED indicators — all of which are DOT-approved. Running gear on the Scrambler is fairly high-end, and includes Magura braking hardware, a 48mm inverted fork, and a mono-shock swing-arm design paired with a FOX Racing shock. Other details include a nimble 48” wheelbase, a 25° rake, and an approachable seat height that can be adjusted from 31” up to 32”.
