Based in New Taipei City, Taiwan, Graft is an all-new EV upstart specializing in the off-road powersports market. Founded by American-born engineer and gearhead Azizi Tucker, the fledgling Taiwanese firm has just revealed its first lineup of vehicles, and alongside an electron and proton-powered ATV and UTV, the company has also pulled the cover off of an ultra-lightweight and high-performance electric motorcycle known as the Graft EO.12
Tipping the scales at an insanely svelte 110lbs, the EO.12 is a minimalistic off-road-only two-wheeler that’s constructed around a chassis that’s been precision-machined from aluminum billet. Assembled entirely by hand by a small team of experts, the EO.12 sports a suite of high-end componentry including long-travel, three-way-adjustable FOX Racing suspension, disc brakes, and 21″ spoked wheels with carbon fiber rims (though we wouldn’t be surprised to see a more dirt-focused 18″ rear wheel on the final production model). Kicked along by a high-torque direct-drive powertrain that boasts a myriad of 3D-printed TiAl6V4 titanium drivetrain components, Graft’s inaugural ebike puts down 20kW (26.8hp) and an otherworldly 324.5ft-lbs of instantaneous torque — roughly the same amount as the latest base model Porsche 911. In addition to being IP67-rated, the EO.12’s battery packs can be swapped between different Graft vehicles. What’s more, where a fuel cap would typically be located on a traditional dirtbike is now occupied by a circular digital touchscreen display.
Pricing, market availability, and final specs have yet to be revealed for the EO.12 — or any of Graft’s forthcoming electric vehicles — though according to the company’s website, the bike will be available for purchase in the near future.
