GlasWerks Turns the Ferrari GTC4Lusso Into a V12-Powered Off-Road Monster

There’s a certain irony to the fact that Ferrari’s most practical model — the GTC4Lusso — ended production in 2020 just as overlanding and adventure-ready exotics became the hottest trend in automotive. While Porsche and Lamborghini answered the call with the 911 Dakar and Huracán Sterrato, Ferrari left the four-seat, V12-powered grand tourer segment wide open.

Enter GlasWerks DMV, a veteran-owned outfit from Virginia that’s been deep in the luxury detailing and PPF game since 2014, now stepping into bespoke off-road builds with their debut project: the Elevato.

Built with Rally Racing Know-How

For this SEMA showpiece, GlasWerks tapped Roberto Molina — a guy with two decades of motorsport cred, including time with Toyota Gazoo Racing Latin America and GT3 teams — as head of engineering. The company’s founders have also run the 24 Hours of Appalachia, a brutal 400-500 mile endurance rally through dirt tracks that’ll punish anything not built correctly, and that experience shows.

GlasWerks strips down the GTC4Lusso and replaces over 30% of the parts. The suspension gets a complete overhaul with T6061 billet aluminum control arms (front and rear, upper and lower), reinforced tie rods, upgraded sway-bar end links, and strengthened CV joints and axles. MCS 3WR dampers with three-way adjustability pair with Eibach main and helper springs, while an integrated ARB onboard air system lets you dial in tire pressure on the fly.

The result is 9″ of ground clearance (double the stock setup) with a minimum of 8″ of wheel travel. This is not just a lift kit but a legitimate off-road build from the ground up.

Purpose-Built Hardware

The wheel and tire setup is equally considered, with Forgeline’s custom Rally-1 forged monoblocks (19-inch front, 20-inch rear) wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion All-Terrain Plus rubber. The bodywork gets replaceable cladding, mudflaps, optional underbody rock guides, and chassis-mounted recovery points. Up top, a modular GlasWerks roof rack can handle up to 40,000 lumens of auxiliary lighting.

Inside, Elevato trades Ferrari badges for GlasWerks branding, with billet aluminum switchgear controlling the new lighting systems and selectable exhaust modes. The configurable display panel provides real-time data, while recalibrated ESC and traction control offer drive modes tailored for tarmac and loose gravel.

Under the hood, the naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V12 gets a reengineered high-flow intake and a valved aerospace-grade Inconel exhaust. Output climbs to an impressive 758hp and 581lb.ft of torque, all channeled through Ferrari’s dual-clutch seven-speed automatic and AWD system with four-wheel steering. GlasWerks is calling this the “world’s first luxury V12 Italian off-roader.”

Off-Road Luxury From a Different Angle

GlasWerks emphasizes that these aren’t meant to sit in collections — they want owners actually using them. As such, the Elevato has four proper seats and a tailgate. Co-founder Joshua Sroka mentioned they’ve been developing multiple Elevatos simultaneously, with one spec’d more for beat-up pavement and gravel roads, while another leans harder into trail use. That customization extends throughout the build: spring rates, lighting setups, exhaust configurations, and even badging are all tailored to each customer.
