Genesis just turned ten, and the Korean luxury brand marked the occasion by unveiling something the establishment hasn’t touched yet: a full-size luxury wagon. The G90 Wingback Concept, revealed a few weeks back at Le Castellet alongside the production GV60 Magma, reimagines their flagship sedan platform as the kind of performance wagon the S-Class and 7 Series have never attempted. This week, we finally have some official pictures as it’s presented in this Deep Magma Green colorway.

When Wagons Make More Sense Than SUVs
Chief Creative Officer Luc Donckerwolke drove the Wingback onto the stage himself, pointing to market saturation as the opening. With crossovers everywhere, other body styles suddenly feel fresh. The wagon format at this size doesn’t exist in luxury right now — BMW has the M5 Touring, Audi the RS6 Avant, but nobody’s built a proper full-size wagon. Genesis just did.

Built on Familiar Bones
The Wingback uses the standard G90’s architecture — same 125.2-inch wheelbase, same 200-inch length. It’s a smart move, since the platform already handles Genesis’s 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 (365 hp) and 5.0-liter V8 (420 hp), with room to extract more under the Magma sub-brand.
As for the bodywork, flared arches house custom 22-inch wheels, the Crest Grille stretches wider with larger intakes and canards, and the roofline extends into that wagon profile with a raked rear window, two-piece wing, and performance diffuser. Inside, quilted Chamude upholstery with green Magma stitching rather than the brand’s signature orange.

Where It Fits
Donckerwolke called the Wingback a “bridge between Magma and the One of One bespoke program,” suggesting limited production, if it happens at all. Genesis hasn’t confirmed production, but showing this much detail suggests they’re gauging interest — and based on initial response, there’s certainly an appetite for it. With the current G90 running $94,000 to $108,000, expect this to land north of that range.

Recap
Genesis G90 Wingback Wagon Concept
Genesis just dropped a full-size luxury wagon concept based on their G90 flagship, and it’s the kind of performance estate the Germans haven’t bothered building. They’re calling it the Wingback, keeping the sedan’s platform but stretching it into wagon form with Magma performance styling and that deep green colorway that proves their performance line isn’t just about orange.
