This $1.4 Million Diablo Restomod Just Got a Track-Focused Carbon Fiber Makeover

Most restomod builders take a vintage supercar and make it comfortable. San Marino-based Eccentrica took the opposite approach with its latest Pacchetto Titano upgrade for the V12: they made their already incredible Lamborghini Diablo tribute sharper, more focused, and decidedly less forgiving. After debuting the original V12 at Monterey Car Week last year, Eccentrica returned to The Quail with this track-honed evolution that doubles down on everything that made the ’90s Diablo so captivating.

The Eccentrica Origin Story

Eccentrica was essentially born from founder Emanuel Colombini’s childhood obsession with the Lamborghini Diablo. After years collecting supercars and running a successful interior design business, Colombini came across a Diablo in a dealership and became dedicated to preserve Marcello Gandini’s timeless design while addressing the original’s shortcomings through modern engineering and materials.

Working with Milanese design studio Borromeo de Silva, Eccentrica transforms first-generation Diablos into what Colombini calls “550hp go-karts.” The company’s philosophy centers on three pillars: eccentricity (embracing contrasts), nostalgia (bringing the past into the present), and hedonism (pure driving pleasure).

Raw Carbon, Refined Purpose

The most immediate change with the TItano is the exposed carbon fiber bodywork that replaces the painted finish. The material choice cuts weight while the new fixed rear wing generates legitimate downforce. Subtle aerodynamic tweaks throughout the body maintain the Diablo’s iconic silhouette while improving airflow efficiency. The carbon-aluminum forged wheels (19-inch front, 20-inch rear) shed unsprung mass and feature enhanced brake cooling ducts for the upgraded Brembo system.

Underneath the Italian Attitude

The real transformation happens below the surface. Eccentrica fitted stiffer springs and recalibrated the adaptive dampers to sharpen turn-in response without completely sacrificing grand touring comfort. The naturally aspirated 5.7-liter V12 receives an ECU remap that enhances throttle response across the rev range, building on the standard car’s 542 horsepower and 442 lb-ft output. Power still routes through the gorgeous open-gated six-speed manual, because some things shouldn’t be modernized.

Inside, motorsport influences appear through an anticorodal aluminum steering wheel with a light blue 12 o’clock marker, extensive Alcantara upholstery, and a fire suppression system for track day peace of mind. The cabin balances race-ready functionality with Eccentrica’s signature luxury touches.
