In March of 2019, exactly 70 years after releasing its first-ever motorcycle, Ducati unveiled its very first electric mountain bike with the Mig-RR — an ultra-premium E-MTB that was born out of a collaboration with Thok and aimed to deliver the same level of performance afforded by Ducati’s world-famous motorcycles. And after the immense success of the Mig-RR, the Borgo Panigale brand has further leaned into the E-MTB space, releasing an ever-growing number of ever-more capable electric mountain bikes — the latest of which to break cover is Ducati’s all-new Powerstage RR Limited Edition.

Engineered from the ground up to take on some of the most hostile and unforgiving off-road terrain and conditions, the Powerstage RR LE represents Ducati’s first-ever carbon fiber-framed electric mountain bike — as well as what’s undoubtedly the brand’s most exclusive e-enduro model to date. Carbon fiber is also used to construct the Powerstage RR LE’s Renthal handlebars and Crankbrothers Synthesis carbon wheels (which come shod in Pirelli Scorpion Enduro tires). Benefiting from Finite Element Analysis, the chassis comes paired with an equally top-shelf Öhlins RXF38 m.2 air fork and TTX shock — items that afford 180mm and 170mm of travel respectively. The motor also draws from an integrated 630-Wh Shimano battery.

Designed using a spare-no-expense approach, this full-carbon framer features Shimano’s new 250-watt EP801 drive unit which is good for a cool 62.7ft-lbs of torque and is backed by a 12-speed electronic SRAM shifter. Stopping power comes from Braking First brand disc hardware complemented via customized Ducati Corse levers. The entire bike comes cloaked in a special paint job courtesy of Aldo Drudi and the Centro Stile Ducati that is modeled after the livery seen on Ducati’s 250+ HP Desmosedici GP23 MotoGP racers. Other highlights include all internally-routed cables, alloy pedals, an SRAM GX Eagle AXS Lunar 12s derailleur, a 35mm custom-CNC’d Ducati stem, an X-Glide 12s 10-50T crank, a dropper post, and a Fizik saddle with a special integrated tool holder.

Limited to just 230 numbered units worldwide — a nod to the LE model’s year of production — the Ducati Powerstage RR Limited Edition E-Mountain Bike is available now through the brand’s dealership network, with pricing set at  $11,990.
