Cartainers understands this well, which is why the label created the Ceres 001, a mobile storage container, display case, and means of transporting your car, equipped with a 24/7 security system and smartphone integration.
This sleek container is 20’ long, 8’6” high, and 8’ wide, and opts for polycarbonate instead of glass for more durability. It’s held together by steel bars that house an aluminum chassis with built-in car tie downs designed to fit most cars. An onboard power supply is used to operate the security cameras, climate control, electric ramp, and sliding door, with a backup battery that powers the GPS and security system for up to 72 hours. For easy adjustments, the companion smartphone app allows you to remotely control each feature and track your car while it’s being transported. Adding to the futuristic look and design, there’s even a facial recognition system for accessing the container.
You’ll have the option to customize the chassis’ color and add heating/air conditioning, along with a few tint options, including an electronic frosting tint or a standard tint. Custom lighting options are also available, but keep in mind that these extra goodies will add to the cost. A Founders Edition, featuring a brushed aluminum slat roof lighting package and unique badging, will also be available for the first 50 U.S. customers.
Pre-orders for the Cartainers Ceres 001 are live now for a deposit of $1,000; the base edition will start at $50,000, and the Founders Edition will start at $60,000, with shipping slated to begin in early 2025.
