Predating internal combustion vehicles, horse-drawn trailers are not just a representation of America’s past but are proof that, prior to the advent of paved roads themselves, off-road capability was possible. Beneficial for creating a stationary home base once you’ve reached your off-the-grid destination, modern-day units can range from simple cargo storage to fully-livable campers. Year by year we see new models come out with increased abilities to traverse rough terrains while providing us with cutting-edge amenities and accommodations in the process. Australian brand BruderX is one such camper builder who knows how to combine off-road performance with modern comfort. It’s just expanded its impressive line with a fourth trailer model.

Fitting in right between the EXP-6 and EXP-8, the new EXP-7 is a pop-up style camper (with a hard-top option) that stretches over 19ft long, can get as high as 8.2ft tall when traveling, and can sleep up to 6 people. Much like the EXP-8, the new trailer has access doors on both sides of the unit, but also integrates the bathroom and shower area inside so that it doubles as a mud room. From the EXP-6, the EXP-7 features the two-way slide-out kitchen for preparing meals inside and having physical access to the outdoors, food truck style.

Allowing it to stand on its own, the EXP-7 sports a unique internal layout with luxurious finish options. To help you survive off-grid, the unit has a 139L internal fridge, 60L external fridge, 280L of fresh water, and tons of storage. The 10.8kWh lithium-ion battery pairs with a 3,000W inverter and a 1,245W rooftop solar system. Additional options include a washing machine, microwave, upgraded sound system, and more.
