For those familiar with the overlanding and off-road space, ARB is a bit of a legend. Called upon for parts and upgrades by nearly every revered brand in the space, whether its fridge parts or full-on 4×4 suspensions, ARB has now unveiled its foray into the camper trailer sector with its very own Earth Camper model.
Designed from the ground up from the company’s home in Australia, the Earth Camper is an off-road trailer that was first conceived in 2016 as an attempt at giving the buyer a luxurious yet compact living space that can easily be towed behind their vehicle, all with the know-how that ARB has accumulated since it was founded in 1975. Inspired by the look of a roll cage and featuring 90mm steel tubing, the unit utilizes a one-piece welded exoskeleton chassis, a bespoke ARB suspension, a vertical-oriented shock absorber, all-terrain tires, alloy wheels, and one of the longest trailing arms on the market at a whopping 900mm. The Earth Camper is truly capable of going anywhere you want to take it.
Inside the Fibreglass Reinforced Polymer body, you get an expansive internal bedroom with a queen-sized bed, collapsible dining table, and dual Sirocco fans to keep cool on warm days. Likewise, 20mm of the 25mm-thick walls are made up of foam insulation for fantastic temperature regulation. For expanding your space, the free-standing ARB awning attaches to the rear to give you an extra room of sorts. It’s waterproof, breathable, UV resistant, and comes equipped with a few mesh windows. There’s also a built-in LED light for nighttime relaxation. Outdoor features include an ARB full-size Slide Kitchen, a large prep countertop, two 70L water tanks, and a 96L ARB ZERO fridge/freezer unit. All of the electricity is run on a 100Ah battery, which is powered by a 120W solar panel.
