Despite being founded less than a decade ago in 2014, Aimé Leon Dore has quickly grown into one of the most elite American designer labels. As a bonafide lifestyle brand, ALD has also taken on a variety of side projects, including multiple collaborations with Porsche. And after previously teaming up with the Stutgartt firm to deliver a custom 964 911 Carrera 4 in 2020 and a one-off 911 safari build in 2021, the New York label has now pulled the cover off of its latest joint effort with the German marque, the Aimé Leon Dore Porsche 356.

Starting with a 1960 Porsche 356B donor, the build has been tastefully customized both inside and out, exclusively utilizing period-correct modifications and parts. Now sporting a fresh coat of glossy Midnight Blue paint, the exterior of the 356B has been bestowed with a set of yellow-lensed fog lights, wire headlight covers, the clothing label’s crest hand-painted in gold on the car’s fender, custom gold Aimé Leon Dore tailgate badging, and a bespoke ALD decklid grille emblem. Bumper deletes fore and aft also streaming the 356’s silhouette and give it a noticeably sleeker overall appearance.

The entire build also now rides on a set of brushed aluminum wheels that have been shod in period-correct whitewall tires. The Porsche has also been treated to disc brakes at all four corners — a major step up from the mid-century drum brakes present on the stocker. Inside, the cabin of the ’60 specimen has also been reworked. Now trimmed in Midnight Blue leather, the interior sports tonal embroidery complemented via swaths of tartan plaid and Midnight Blue alpaca. The vehicle is now helmed via a Carrera 2 steering wheel with genuine gold leaf accents, as well.

The Aimé Leon Dore Porsche 356 is slated to make its public debut on May 5th when it gets put on display at ALD’s flagship store at 224 Mulberry Street in New York City.
