Ford and Filson aren’t strangers. The two first linked up back in 2020 on a Wildland Fire Rig concept built to honor firefighters, and the chemistry clearly stuck. Now the partnership has graduated into a much anticipated full production model. Say hello to the 2027 Bronco Filson, easily the most premium version of the SUV you can park in your driveway without springing for a Raptor.

And, this isn’t a sticker-and-seat-fabric job. Ford handed the Filson the Raptor’s engine and the entire Sasquatch hardware kit, then wrapped it in the best cabin the nameplate has ever seen.

A Raptor Engine That Learned Some Manners
Under the hood sits the same twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 that powers the Bronco Raptor, where it cranks out a stout 418 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque. Ford has retuned it for the Filson and is staying coy on the final figures, but expect something a notch below the Raptor but still comfortably ahead of every other Bronco.

Every Filson edition will rolls off the assembly line with the Sasquatch package standard, which means 35-inch tires, front and rear locking diffs, and internal-bypass Fox shocks all come standard. Ford even custom-tuned those dampers and stiffened the body, softening the ride just enough to make this thing livable on pavement without gutting its trail chops.

Filson DNA, Right Down to the Saddlebags
Inside is where the collaboration really comes to life, and Filson’s expertise is on fully display. You get perforated quilted leather, woven seat trim modeled on Filson’s Rugged Twill, a leather-wrapped dash, and brass accents on the steering wheel bezel and G.O.A.T. modes dial.

And although it looks beautiful, Ford insists none of it is precious, leaning on its “wear in, not wear out” mantra, with materials picked to age gracefully rather than scuff. And, that’s certainly Filson’s MO as well.

The slickest touch is the storage. Removable Filson-style saddlebags tuck into the doors and rear sport bars, ditching snap buttons for magnets so you can grab the whole load and go. Ventilated front seats, heated rears, and Bang & Olufsen audio bump are nice touches. There’s also an acoustic glass treatment that trims perceived wind noise nearly 20% versus the 2021 Bronco to round out the affair.
