When Ram introduced the Rebel nameplate back in 2015, it was a clear signal that the brand had serious off-road ambitions for its light-duty lineup. A 1-inch lift, Bilstein shocks, and 33-inch all-terrain tires straight from the factory. Ten years later, Ram celebrated that milestone with the Rebel X, a limited-run anniversary package that layered exclusive tech and aesthetic upgrades onto the already-capable Rebel platform. Customer enthusiasm was loud — so much so that Ram has now done away with the “limited edition” label entirely for 2026.

The “X” Factor
Think of the Rebel X as the sweet spot in Ram’s off-road hierarchy. Above the standard Rebel, well below the RHO’s 540-hp Hurricane HO, and nowhere near the unhinged territory of the returning TRX and its supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi pushing 777 hp. The Rebel X runs the standard-output Hurricane Twin Turbo inline-six — 420hp and 469 lb-ft of torque — paired to an eight-speed automatic. That’s already more output than the old 5.7 HEMI V8 ever produced, and it arrives without the fuel penalty. The Hurricane’s lighter weight up front also benefits the truck’s off-road balance as a trade-off.
What separates the Rebel X from a Rebel with the Level 2 package is the tech. Rough Road Cruise Control is exclusive to this trim, and can hold your pace over uneven terrain up to 20mph thanks to its combination of adaptive speed control and adjustable steering weight.

Ready for the Trail, Comfortable Leaving It
The Rebel X builds on the Level 2 Equipment Group, so the interior is well-sorted before Ram even gets to the exclusive add-ons. The 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen and 19-speaker Harman Kardon system are standard, alongside a 10.25-inch front passenger display, dual wireless charging, and heated/ventilated front seats. The Rebel X then layers on a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, a console-mounted leather-wrapped performance shifter, paddle shifters, and premium leather/vinyl buckets with red accent stitching. There’s also a glass-encased Rebel X badge on the center console.

Outside, the big news is Tank Clear-Coat — a military green-inspired finish debuting here before spreading to other 1500 models. It’s paired with black 18-inch wheels and 33-inch all-terrain rubber down below.
