If you feel like you don’t hear a lot of updates from Infiniti, it’s likely because the Nissan sublabel doesn’t love to shake things up a whole lot. Take its luxury SUV, the QX80, which has looked relatively similar for well over a decade — back when it was still called the QX56. However, last year, the Japanese automaker unveiled the QX Monograph concept, which also debuted a new lighting system and a massive grill in front. Now, for the 2025 model year, we’re introduced to the first major redesign of the QX80 in years.

On a powertrain level, the new QX80 swaps the V8 engine for a twin-turbo 3.5L V6, which bumps the output to 450hp (from 400hp) and the torque to 516lb.ft (from 413lb.ft). And instead of a seven-speed transmission, the SUV will feature a nine-speed automatic. In addition to the Pure, Luxe, and Sensory trim levels, the 2025 model will also come in a brand-new Autograph trim, which is perhaps the most similar to the Monograph concept with its two-tone roof, 22-inch turbine wheel design, and dark chrome exterior accents. The inside is just as luxurious with semi-aniline leather appointments that have been stitched by hand and open-pore ash wood around the cabin. Specifically for the Autograph models are second-row massaging seats, heated third-row seats, touchscreen HVAC control, and a even mini fridge in the center console!

Falling in line with the Japanese more of hospitality, all 2025 QX80 models will feature a new “Welcome” sequence, which begins with extending of the flush door handles upon approach with the key fob and leads to an exterior light sequence concluding with a special ground projection. Other features include dual 14.3-inch touchscreens on the dashboard, a 14-speaker Klipsch audio system, built-in Google programming, remote-controlled rear seats, and an invisible hood view.
