The Ford Bronco Coastal Is Pure Retro California Beach Vibes On Four Wheels

Summer is coming, and Ford Performance just dropped the perfect excuse to cruise down to the beach in a Bronco that looks like it rolled straight out of 1985. The new Coastal Package transforms any four-door Bronco into a retro-styled surf wagon complete with sunset-gradient stripes, silver everything, and a clear bimini top that screams “weekend vibes.” It’s exactly the kind of package that makes you want to throw on some Ocean Pacific shorts and blast The Bangles while bombing down Pacific Coast Highway.

Silver Surfer Aesthetic

The Coastal Package’s most striking feature is how it turns the rugged Bronco into something that wouldn’t look out of place in a vintage Beach Boys music video. Everything metallic gets the silver treatment – the 17×8-inch wheels, fender flares, and grille all sport Ford’s “Iconic Silver” finish that gives the whole truck a cohesive, upscale appearance.

But the real showstopper is the stripe package. Running the full length of the Bronco’s sides, these graphics feature a sunset-themed gradient blending oranges and blues in a distinctly ’80s color palette. It’s retro done right.

Two Inches Closer to Heaven

Beyond the visual upgrades, the Coastal Package includes a small performance enhancement: a 2-inch Off-Road Suspension Lift Kit. And those extra inches of ground clearance make navigating soft sand significantly easier.

Ford thoughtfully includes a Pro Cal Tool to recalibrate the speedometer after the lift, ensuring your beach cruising doesn’t come with any unpleasant surprises from your friendly neighborhood speed trap.

Bring Your Own Rubber

One notable omission from the Coastal Package is new tires. Ford provides five wheels (including the spare) but leaves tire selection to the customer. This makes sense given the wide variety of use cases – some buyers might want aggressive all-terrains for serious off-roading, while others prefer highway-focused rubber for daily driving.

The lift kit assumes you’ll be running 33-inch tires, so if you stick with the standard Base, Big Bend, or Outer Banks rubber, you’ll definitely want to use that Pro Cal Tool.

That Bimini Life

Perhaps the coolest detail is the clear bimini top emblazoned with the Bronco logo. Unlike a traditional soft-top that blocks out the sun entirely, this mesh-style top provides some shade while still letting in plenty of light. It’s the perfect compromise for those who want protection from the elements without sacrificing that open-air feeling.

Package Variants for Different Needs

Ford offers two versions of the Coastal Package. The full kit (part number M-BRONCO-W5) includes everything mentioned above for $5,400. For Badlands models, there’s a separate package (M-BRONCO-W7) that includes all the aesthetic upgrades but skips the lift kit and Pro Cal Tool, coming in at $2,850.

Both packages are compatible with any engine and transmission combination but won’t work with the Sasquatch Package.

Installation Options

You can tackle the installation yourself if you’re handy with tools (Ford provides the instructions), but dealer installation adds quite a bit to the total cost. Early reports indicate that adding dealer installation bumps the price from $5,400 to $8,500. It’s definitely a steep premium for labor, but it does preserve your full Ford warranty.
