Barely two weeks ago, we were teased with veiled images of Aston Martin’s upcoming DBS swan song, dubbed the 770 Ultimate, a limited-edition version of the soon-to-be-retired flagship grand tourer. Today, the British marque has given us some more info — and images as well!
It was already implied that the upcoming DBS was tapping the line’s impressive 5.2L AM31 twin-turbocharged V12 engine with 8-speed transmission. Now it’s been confirmed that the powertrain will be “uprated” to deliver 770PS (~760hp), which will be paired with 900Nm (~664lb.ft) of torque for a top speed of 211mph. Aston Martin is calling the DBS 770 Ultimate its most powerful production car ever.
The new 21-inch wheels will be styled after the Aston Martin’s Valkyrie and Victor, with the option of either satin silver, satin black, or satin black with diamond-turned finishes. Familiar to any fans of the DBS, the interior will be given new bespoke trim, coloring, and other unique 770 Ultimate touches. Likewise, the exterior gets some updates to improve aerodynamic balance, such as a new front splitter, horseshoe vent, and rear diffuser.
Available in either Coupe or Volante variants, the new DBS 770 Ultimate is limited to just 300 and 199 examples of each, respectively. Production on the vehicles should start soon, with deliveries coming in Q3 of this year.
