L.L.Bean Embraces Its Maine-bred Roots in Latest Todd Snyder Collab

At this juncture, it seems as though L.L.Bean and Todd Snyder are just two peas in a pod. The ongoing partnership between this pair of East Coast brands serves as only right when considering their abidance to tradition, but it’s a bit juxtaposing when accounting for both Snyder’s big-city roots and L.L.Bean’s humble Maine stomping grounds. Looking to admire the latter, the brands have delivered the Maine Ah collection, paying homage to the outdoor brand’s Vacationland roots.

From subtle Patched Beanies to Camp Shoes and Packable Anoraks to Climbing Shorts crafted from recycled nylon, the sprawling capsule features a variety of outdoor-appropriate pieces. Starting with the stylish piece of headwear, it’s made from 100% organic cotton, dressed in a variety of color choices, and then embellished with archival logos courtesy of the heritage brand. As far as the Camp Shoes go, these are an L.L.Bean staple, and they have been ever since the brand’s eponymous founder unveiled the silhouette in 1936. Made from full-grain leather and equipped with a moisture-wicking insole, this stylish pair stands out as the only set of shoes here.

For sustainability’s sake, the Packable Anorak is made from an organic cotton/recycled nylon blend, then rounded out with a recycled polyester lining. Adorned with pockets, raglan sleeves, and a set of velcro cuffs, this sporty spring jacket is practically a ’90s time capsule. Equally notable are the Climbing Shorts, composed of the same brand of eco-friendly materials used throughout the anorak. These bottoms feature a quartet of pockets and come with a 10″ inseam.

Whether you need some stylish additions to your spring wardrobe or simply really love the Pine Tree State, this collection truly has everything you could ask for. Pieces from the Maine Ah collection are currently available on Todd Snyder’s website, starting from $40.
