If you were a kid in the 1960s, chances are you were pretty into spy fiction. With the explosive popularity of James Bond following the premiere of the franchise’s first film Dr. No in 1962, secret agents went on to dominate pop culture throughout the decade. That dominance spread to the toy industry, with a number of 1960s spy playthings regarded today as valuable collectibles. And one of the most sought-after is the James Bond Attaché Case that was sold by Sears in 1965. Inspired by the gadget-filled attaché case used by 007 in 1963’s From Russia with Love, boxed versions of the original toy can fetch thousands of dollars today. Now, the official 007 store has recreated this iconic toy as a limited-edition collector’s item.

The James Bond 007 Secret Agent Attaché Case reissue was created using the original molds from the 1965 version, bringing a heightened and unexpected sense of authenticity to discerning collectors. Like the original toy, the new case includes a coding device for writing secret messages, a codebook that doubles as a booby trap, a passport, international currency play money, and Bond’s business cards (a must for any spy, of course). However, while the original included a toy gun, scope, and ammo, the new version swaps out the controversial toy weapons for a toy camera — itself a replica of the original James Bond Secret Agent Movie Camera toy — and toy gold coins that are inspired by the hidden coins inside the case in the film. The interior lining of the case has also been changed to red to mimic the one seen on-screen.

Each James Bond 007 Secret Agent Attaché Case is individually numbered and comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity. It’s available for pre-order now for November delivery from the 007 Store’s website and is priced at $595.

Purchase: $595
