When Billy Chester first founded WESN, he did so with the intention of making a product he could pass down to his grandchildren; heirloom-quality knives that he couldn’t find out on the market himself. Now, only half a decade later, the boutique knifemaker has achieved its goal by offering classic designs using high-quality materials.
Amidst a catalog that includes the versatile Microblade and an EDC favorite, the Allman, WESN’s Henry slip-joint model has been a perennial standout. First unveiled in 2019, the Henry has a vintage feel when you hold it, as though it came straight from your grandfather’s closet itself. For St. Patrick’s Day this year, the Detroit-based company is releasing a new green color variant of the knife.
The Scandinavian-inspired slip-joint design is given an update with a modern shape, grade 5 titanium scales with G10 inlays, and a Sandvik 14c28n steel blade. This knife is truly meant to last forever. Just like all of WESN’s products, the Henry comes with a lifetime guarantee against defects in material and workmanship. The 2.35-inch blade opens for a total length of 5.35 inches, weighing 1.6oz in total.
To go along with the existing cherry wood, titanium, and mustard colorways, the Henry OD Green G10 colorway will be made available just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, joining the rest of the brand’s OD Green lineup that includes the Microblade and the Allman.
