There’s something rebellious about the Ti-Scout Multi-Tool’s approach to EDC design. While everyone else is busy cramming more gadgets into the same tired rectangular housing, this new multi-tool that’s currently killing it on Kickstarter went full geometric and built an entire survival toolkit around the simple elegance of a triangle. The result is a tool that feels like it was designed by someone who actually uses gear in the field, not just sketches it in boardrooms.

Breaking the Mold
The Ti-Scout isn’t just another multi-tool with a quirky shape. Instead, the brand has aimed to reimagine how we approach pocket-sized utility and with a shape that favors grip and ergonomics. Built around the “triangle rule,” this 8-in-1 tool measures about 2.4″ on each of its three sides with a 0.75-inch thickness, yet manages to pack more functionality than many rectangular counterparts twice its size.
A three-layer design helps it economically optimize its real estate, with two base plates sandwiching a deployable middle section that reveals additional tools while doubling as a fidget device.

Not Just for Opening Beer Bottles
What sets this apart from the crowded multi-tool market is its focus on outdoor survival rather than just everyday utility. While most pocket tools throw in random implements hoping something sticks, the Ti-Scout curates its feature set around wilderness scenarios. As such, it features a military-grade compass, a real-time thermometer, and a spirit level (this triad is what the makers call a “polar-grade navigation system”).
There’s also a hidden magnesium rod that stays tucked away in a side-sliding compartment and is good for roughly 10,000 strikes. You can pair this with the included high-transmittance magnifying glass, which can ignite tinder in 10 seconds under direct sunligh for dual fire-starting methods in a package smaller than most keychains.
When deployed, the secondary layer reveals more conventional tools like a robust pry bar, bottle opener, and the aforementioned magnifying glass.

You’ve Got Options
To customize your Ti-Scout, the brand gives you a few material choices. The lightweight titanium build weighs just over 3oz, while the stainless steel option is a bit more traditional (and more affordable) but bumps to weight to 5.4oz. Lastly, there’s a brass-constructed version of the multi-tool that’s even more hefty at nearly 6oz. For nighttime visibility, you can also opt for a pair of tritium tubes.
