When it comes to Norse Projects, footwear probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. As part of the brand’s new ARKTISK sub-brand, the Nordic clothier has unveiled a zipped running shoe that’s as functional as it is chic.
The lightweight runners feature a plush sockliner composed of neoprene coated in a diamond-structured rip-stop nylon to keep things light. Most importantly, this overlay boasts a Hydro Guard membrane with a waterproof zipper closure, paving the way for optimized protection against the water and wind. For additional resistance and stability, It’s rounded out with a TPU finish and a reinforced heel and toe.
To ensure maximum comfort and long-lasting cushioning, there is an adaptive OrthoLite insole that wicks away moisture, stays breathable, and offers trusty antimicrobial elements. Above all else, it sits on a Vibram Megagrip compound that’s been bolstered by the brand’s Vibram Wrap Tech, aiming to provide enhanced levels of traction and grip while keeping things remarkably lightweight. All things considered, there’s no room for error when picking up some shoes with Vibram soles as is, so this innovative new feature is worth considering.
If you’re looking for a more fashionable segue into the world of performancewear, this is the right path. Norse Projects’ Zip Up Runner is available on the brand’s webshop for $325.
