Seeing as the sturdy silhouette shoes were tested in the performance giant’s Oregon stomping grounds, it’s safe to say they were put to the test. Moreover, the design garners inspiration from a local state park where rock climbing reigns supreme, ultimately managing to implement the necessary elements into its silhouette. These include a surprisingly lightweight construction bolstered by a proprietary 4% Zoom Vaporfly Trail Frame for optimized cushion and comfort. They’re even equipped with an adjustable ankle gator that lets you adjust the fit on the fly.

As far as taking on mother nature goes, the silhouette is more than ready to do that, too, much in part to Nike’s use of GORE-TEX tech. Having implemented it into the upper, this prevents any water from seeping in and getting your feet wet or, even worse, ruining your shoes. For further assurance, the hikers sit on a remarkably grippy rubber outsole with large lugs that promotes premier traction on any surface. Lastly, they’re finished with reflective details for enhanced visibility.
