Nike ACG’s Gaiadome GORE-TEX Boot Finally Gets an Official Debut

Nike’s outdoor-centric sublabel has always pushed the boundaries of what to expect from high-quality hiking gear, and its forthcoming pair of boots are here to reinforce that notion. ACG’s Zoom Gaiadome GORE-TEX made a brief appearance at this year’s Winter Olympics and is finally expected to hit shelves (and apps).

The high-top boot is built around a breathable mesh base, then coated in GORE-TEX, assuring that it is more than capable of taking on any activity you have in mind — as we said, it withstood the frigid conditions at the Winter Olympics. This trusty weatherproof tech is neighbored by a plethora of exterior padding for maximum comfort and a Trail Frame cage for enhanced stability.

Additionally, the shoe features a nylon pull tab at the heel for easy on-and-off wearability and metal hook eyelets for secureness when on the trail. As its name suggests, the Zoom Gaiadome sits on Nike’s proprietary split Air Zoom midsoles, which results in a lightweight feel without sacrificing performance. Lastly, the midsole reads “Designed, tested, and made on planet earth,” proving that the iconic shoemaker’s strive for sustainability is clear.

Aside from the pictured white colorway, the boot will be available in brooding shades of black and brown. While formal release and pricing info regarding these stompers is sparse, look out for Nike’s website to see when the weatherized Gaiadome will be available.
