Nike’s ACG imprint faces these tall tasks with the same ingenuity it’s used since debuting in 1989, all while angling its gear towards the eye of style. While known for its outdoor-ready, fashion-forward shoes and clothing, the “All Conditions Gear” sub-label now gives us two brand-new bags under the Aysén name that are perfect whether you’re hiking or commuting.
First up we have the Aysén Day Pack, a 32L roll-top backpack that sports a magnetic closure and is made from durable Dyneema, an ultralight synthetic fabric that runs through the entire unit in one piece. For maximizing your storage, the inside of the bag expands and features an internal laptop sleeve, while the sternum strap on the outside gives you added support. Likewise, zonal padded foam and mesh panels in the back ensure that you’re comfortable no matter how large the load and that you can experience maximum airflow. The pack features carabiner clips for attaching extra gear and a side pocket that can hold your water bottle, expanding for those who prefer larger containers. For grabbing certain items quickly, the front zippered pocket runs from top to bottom.
Also made from flexible Dyneema is the Aysén Fanny Pack, which features a roll-top as well and can expand to hold up to 3L of gear around your waist, such as your phone, keys, and sunblock. The lightweight material makes this optimal for quick excursions and trail runs, made even better with the padded foam and mesh backside for comfort. A zippered back pocket is perfect for securing smaller items while the magnet on the roll-top makes it easy to open and close.
