Ferrari and Montblanc are no strangers to one another, having worked together in the past to acknowledge the Pracing Horse’s founder and namesake. And while Montblanc’s previous capsule inspired by Enzo Ferrari was enough to appease many, the luxury label’s latest product is genuinely unlike any pen we’ve seen yet — at least any Ferrari-themed pen, that is.

With this innovative pen, the luxury accessory brand hoped to seamlessly highlight Ferrari’s signature design language and philosophy from car to writing instrument. And while that is undoubtedly difficult to pull off, who better than Montblanc to pull it off? By implementing a unique red blade that shields the pen’s filling mechanism, Montblanc and Ferrari’s Chief Design Officer translate the iconic car’s sleek, angular look is displayed as well as any writing utensil could have.

The Montblanc Ferrari Stilema SP3 boasts a handcrafted Au 750 solid white gold nib and a hidden fill-in mechanism for discretely holding ink. An SP3 engraving highlights this luxurious nib to acknowledge the joint effort, while Ferrari’s unmistakable Prancing Horse logo is layered on the cap. Similar to the iconic Daytona SP3, the pen itself is limited to 599 pieces worldwide, as the brand deems it “a writing tribute to the great pioneer.”

The bizarrely exclusive Montblanc x Ferrari Stilema 3 pen is limited to 599 examples and available on MoMontblanc’sebshop. If we didn’t make it clear enough, the luxurious new joint effort will cost you a whopping $27,000.
