Everyday Carry: Ice Cold

EDC Ice Cold 00 Hero

Presented by

When assembling your everyday carry loadout, you might not want all those flashy, playful colors you see in brand’s catalogs. Likewise, a stealthy all-black assortment might feel a bit too aggressive. White and metal are one of the more compatible pairings out there, and a perfect balance between flash and understated. Here, we’ve assembled an EDC pocket dump, from watches to knives, that largely features largely white colorways surrounded by a silver-tone metal. It reminded us of patches of frost covering our metal gear.

Luminox MIL-Spec Watch

Luminox MIL SPEC Arctic F 7 25

When it comes to insanely rugged timepieces, Luminox is right there at the top. So reliable that their watches were hand-selected by the U.S. Navy SEALs over 30 years ago (a partnership that continues today), the brand has been a favorite for first responders, military, and just the everyday outdoorsman alike. Housed in a 46mm CARBONOX+ composite case with 300m of water resistance, the MIL-SPEC model you see here fully embodies the brand’s philosophy, built in compliance with the U.S. Department of Defense’s military standards. It also comes with a bold white rubber strap that pairs perfectly with the white numerals on the grade 2 titanium bezel (a more tactical black webbing strap comes with the watch as well).

Inside, the watch is powered by an ETA-base quartz movement with Luminox’s HeavyDrive tech for shock and imbalance resistance, producing a counter impulse so the hands don’t skip. Meanwhile, a PreciDrive optimizes precision while thermocompensating the motor’s pulses based on any changes to temperatures around the watch. And of course, the tool watch also boasts Luminox’s iconic LLT lume that’ll last for 25 years without needing to be charged.

Claustrum Card Case Serve

Claustrum Card Case F 7 25

You can easily put your business cards in your wallet but wouldn’t you want something more purpose built so your precious card stock doesn’t get dinged or bent? For the past 20 years, design studio Claustrum has been crafting their gear right from their home in Tokyo, and this Card Case Serve is no different. It features a single-hand opening because, after all, you never know when the opportunity for networking will come about.

Holding up to 15 cards, this unit sports a minimalist industrial aesthetic, equipped with rivets that almost look random on the metal exterior. To elevate the experience, the high-strength stainless steel is wrapped in a white leather material as well.

Randolph Aviator

Randolph Aviator 24k white gold F 7 25

Randolph is one of the brands synonymous with the aviator style, equipping the U.S. military with the sunglasses since the ‘70s and lauded for its dedication to building its shades to rugged military specifications. Made in the U.S., this model you see here features a premium 23k white gold frame featuring the brand’s signature bayonet temple tips with their 1973 logo at the end.

Meanwhile, the SkyTec glass lenses are about as old-school as you can get with the original neutral gray tints, equipped with Vector’s Anti-Reflective and Blue Wave tech for superb contrast in different environments. If you’re looking for a pair of shades to accompany any outfit you’re wearing this summer, here it is.

Tactile Knife Co. Golfwall

Tactile Knife Co Golfwall F 7 25

Texas-based gear brand Tactile Knife is one of the best at blending meticulous construction with stunning aesthetics, and its Golfwall is the case in point. No stranger to playful limited-edition knives, the brand came out with this for its Fairway Seasonal Release, featuring a golf ball-themed dimpled pattern on the white Cerakote-painted grade 5 titanium handle that doubles as an ergonomic grip.

We love the theming here, which also comes equipped with a black DLC pivot, clip, and thumbstud. The blade itself is a 2.84-inch MagnaCut flat grind drop point with a smooth thumb stud opening and a 63-64 HRC hardness.
