Spring is officially here, which means we can finally put away our down jackets and bring out our allergy meds. All jokes aside, this time of year typically marks a shift in the way we approach our visual ensemble — and the same goes for what we have in our pockets and on our wrists. Inspired by the cherry blossoms that love to bloom in spring, this everyday carry loadout represents our embrace of the color pink, and in the most masculine way possible.

Grand Seiko Spring Drive SBGA413 ‘Shunbun’

Time and time again, we marvel at Grand Seiko’s beautiful dial designs, wondering how they always seem to get better with each new release. One of our favorites from the Japanese watchmaker is this spring-inspired “Shunbun” variant of the Spring Drive, featuring a pink textured dial inspired by the phenomenon hana-ikada, when the petals from cherry blossom trees scatter over a river’s surface. Of course, what’s inside the watch (ref. SBGA413) is arguably more impressive. Housed in a 42mm high-intensity titanium case, the watch is powered by the brand’s iconic Spring Drive, a hybrid movement that utilizes mechanical components with accuracy managed by an electromagnetic speed-regulating unit.
The James Brand The Halifax

The James Brand has proven time and time again why they’re such a beloved name in the EDC community. Their minimalist approach to gear that’s actually useful is only bolstered by their thoughtful design and meticulous construction. Take one of the brand’s simplest tools: the Halifax, an ambidextrous pocket tool that features a screwdriver that can accommodate both Phillips and flathead tips, along with an integrated bottle opener. Typically made with either raw titanium or black stainless steel, the Halifax is presented here in a rose gold PVD-coated 416 stainless steel.
22STUDIO Polygon Rollerball Pen

The perfect pen will feel good in your hand no matter where you grab it. Known for its inspired designs and uncompromising quality, 22STUDIO designed this Polygon rollerball pen out of high-density cement with a 316L stainless steel tip, weighing just over 1.5oz in total, balancing great when you write. Taking its shape from the Gherkin skyscraper in London, the pen has a futuristic appearance just as the architectural marvel it’s inspired by. However, the pink colorway of this variant highlights the diamond pattern even more, which itself takes inspiration from Chanel’s iconic quilted bag.
Oliver Peoples Gregory Peck Sun Limited Edition

If “real men” wear pink, then that goes double for men willing to wear pink in front of their eyes. Inspired by the sunglasses worn by Gregory Peck in To Kill a Mockingbird, Oliver Peoples collaborated with the actor’s estate for this faithful recreation. Handmade in Italy, the shades are constructed with sturdy acetate frames (size 47-23 for medium coverage), built-in plaques on the temple and stems for durability and a dash of style, and pink photochromatic lenses that get darker when exposed to sunlight.
