Of all the comic book heroes out there, Batman is probably most well known as the one with all the coolest gadgets. But, while the Dark Knight definitely gets top billing, we’re firm believers that his alter-ego, Bruce Wayne, doesn’t get enough credit. Sure, he’s not the one fighting crime and saving the world, but he’s still a billionaire playboy supergenius who runs one of the most successful companies in the entire DC universe. It helps, too, that he has impeccable style and taste — especially in Christopher Nolan’s adaptations. In fact, it was with Bruce Wayne in mind (as well as Batman’s signature black-and-blue colorway) that we put together the following everyday carry loadout. Obviously, it’s hard to say what Wayne would carry in his pockets, being that he’s a fictional character, but we like to think it might look something like this.
Boker Burnley Kwaiken Automatic Knife
One of the best designs either Lucas Burnley or Boker has produced, the Kwaiken is a legend all its own. This particular one is all the more special, however, as it comes with a Protech automatic deployment mechanism, giving you access to its Japanese-inspired 154CM steel blade at a moment’s notice. It’s also fitted with a milled aluminum handle, tip-up pocket clip, and an all-black finish.
Berluti New Wave Ideal Leather Bifold Wallet
Made in Italy from premium calf leather, this gorgeous bifold wallet — which boasts five card slots and two internal pockets — was actually inspired by French films from the ’50s and ’60s and boasts a unique “reverse patina” technique that gives it its unique color. If you’re looking to upgrade your wallet to something more modern and upscale, but you want to stick with a traditional format, this is the one for you.
Montblanc StarWalker Precious Resin Pen
From the legendary pen manufacturer that is Montblanc, this StarWalker pen is an absolutely superb ballpoint writing utensil crafted from black precious resin, equipped with a platinum-coated pocket clip, and weighs just over an ounce. And while the pen itself would be a gorgeous piece of functional equipment, its appeal is bolstered further by its unique blue translucent dome on the tail — meant to simulate Earth rising over the lunar horizon.
Rolex GMT-Master II Watch
Unequivocally, Rolex’s GMT-Master is one of the world’s most iconic watches — especially when equipped with a legendary black-and-blue “Batman” rotating dive timer bezel, as is found on this one. It’s also crafted from proprietary Oystersteel, comes with an in-house 70-hour calibre 3285 automatic movement, and a beautiful jubilee bracelet.
