Force a Better Made Super-Strong Shoelaces Out of CORDURA

For over 50 years, the super-durable CORDURA fiber, a product of INVISTA, has been a favorite of military personnel, bag makers, and outdoorsmen alike due to its industry-leading specifications and defining standards for strength and toughness. A few years back, the Japanese brand Force a Better offered the first-ever t-shirt made with CORDURA technology.

Now, Force a Better teams up with CORDURA once again for extra-tough nylon shoelaces that are both abrasion- and scratch-resistant. Let’s face it, shoelaces can take quite a beating when trail running or skateboarding. Often the most structurally weak part of our sneakers are also the most important to ensuring our feet and ankles remain free from blisters or injuries. That’s why it’s important that our laces can endure as much as we can. With double the tensile strength of ordinary shoelaces and ten times the wear strength, these CORDURA laces can withstand just about anything the rest of your shoes can, and then some.

Available in two different sizes, 80cm (4 to 5 holes) and 120cm (5 to 7 holes), the CORDURA shoelaces should last you longer than your shoes themselves. After that, you can switch them over to your new pair and they’ll feel just as fresh. These shoestrings come in either black or white, with reflective options available for each for those who enjoy the occasional nighttime jog or bike ride.

Swap out your standard strings for these new CORDURA shoelaces from Force a Better, out May 14. The standard laces go for ¥1,600 (~$13) and the reflective versions for ¥1,800 (~$14).

Purchase: $13+
