Caterpillar Collabs with Nigel Cabourn for New Tactical Work Boots

Caterpillar’s long line of work boots has served as a staple among common blue-collar men, and its latest joint effort with British designer Nigel Cabourn helps raise the ante for an even more wearable set of stompers. The collaborative Utah Boot serves as an homage to the shoemaker’s most iconic silhouette, while the Omaha boot takes after traditional workwear and Naval designs.

We’ll start with the Utah Boot, comprised of full-grain leather, sturdy canvas, and buttery cow suede. The Goodyear-welt constructed steppers are rounded out with a steel toe cap and placed atop a cushioned foam footbed and rugged rubber outsole for optimized traction. Lastly, the interior is lined with CLEAN SPORT NXT tech for natural odor regulation. This iteration is available in two colors, including a field-ready camouflage style.

Moving on to the Omaha Boot, it boasts an eye-catching utilitarian look thanks to its canvas high-top design and sturdy cement construction, as opposed to the Goodyear-welted composition that appears on the Utah silhouette. However, it does feature the same grippy outsole, cushioned footbed, and odor-controlling sock liner as the capsule’s neighboring boot. The boot is rounded out with a full-grain leather mudguard and a custom-molded, grooved-rubber toe cap. Accounting for Nigel Cabourn’s affinity for military design, this collab was only a matter of time.
