Bell & Ross’ Multimeter Is the Ultimate Tactical Timepiece

Anyone who’s said multi-functional chronographs are difficult to decipher hasn’t met Bell & Ross’ BR 03-94 Multimeter. Since the ‘90s, the French-based watchmaker has made a name for itself with its assortment of eye-catching pilot’s watches that are both intricate and military inspired, such as the unique Red Radar stylized after aircraft radar sensors. Now, with this new release, the company has taken “inspired” and “intricate” to a whole new level.

Already sporting the pilot watch brand’s notable circle-within-a-square shape, made to look like an instrument taken from an airplane cockpit, the Mulitimeter boasts five separate chronograph scales on the dial: one pulsometer to measure heart rate, one asthmometer to track breaths per minute, and a trio of tachymeters to measure your speed at different ranges, whether you’re jogging, cycling, or driving. At 42mm in diameter, the all-in-one watch isn’t too bulky on your wrist either.

Where some users might find typical multi-functional complications esoteric, Bell & Ross ensures ease of use with its self-explanatory layout, which inadvertently becomes a stylistic statement all its own. Distinguished by a different color, each scale has its respective function written alongside the opposite edge, with more specific details about the unit range inscribed as well. Water resistant up to 100m, the timepiece is housed inside a matte black ceramic case and utilizes the same BR-CAL.301 automatic movement as some of the brand’s other chronographs.

Oh yeah, the Multimeter tells the time as well, despite having the quintuply-incremented seconds index stand-in for the hour markers. However, this watch is truly for those who want it all in one place, and so real estate must be allotted economically. Limited to just 500 pieces, the 03-94 Multimeter is now available via Bell & Ross’ online store for $5,800.
