It’s been a long road for Lamborghini enthusiasts to finally see the official arrival of the immensely-anticipated Sterrato off-road supercar. Initially debuting as a one-off rally concept back in 2019, plans were eventually put in place for the vehicle to have a limited production run after enough customer inquiries were submitted.
Understandably so, Lamborghini has given us a slow burn of a release, with a series of teasers coming out earlier this year followed by (really nice) photograph renders a few weeks ago. Today, however, the Raging Bull has officially presented the Sterrato and we finally know exactly what to expect and have some specs to go with it. As for its performance, the 5.2L V10 engine gives you around 602hp and 413lb.ft of torque at 6,500rpm. On the straightaway, it goes from 0 to 60 in 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 160mph.
Despite the 6.7” of ground clearance, the new ride is still ready for any terrain thanks to aluminum underbody protection in front, a rear diffuser, reinforced sills, robust wheel arches, and custom-engineered, all-terrain Bridgestone Dueler AT002 tires that can still give you solid drivability in the case of 0 pressure. Likewise, to keep dust out of the engine, an air intake has been set on the rear hood.
Featuring plenty of cutting-edge interior features such as Amazon Alexa integration and drive performance monitoring, the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato will begin production in February 2023 with a limited run of 1,499 examples.
