Founded by Keanu Reeves and Gard Hollinger in 2011, ARCH Motorcycle is a boutique American moto marque specializing in ultra-high-performance power cruisers. Over its roughly decade-long history, the brand has always put a major emphasis on quality over quantity, slowly releasing a growing range of meticulously designed bikes that are engineered using a spare-no-expense approach — an MO that was utilized to create the company’s latest release, the redesigned ARCH 1s.
Just like with the original 1s, the updated 2023 model year version combines ARCH’s unique performance cruiser formula with the aggressive riding position of a sportbike — giving way to what ARCH calls a “Sport Cruiser.” The updated 1s is constructed around a tubular steel and billet chassis with a billet subframe that houses a massive 124ci (2,032cc) downdraft fuel-injected S&S Cycle V-Twin engine that was created in collaboration with ARCH. Good for 121.77ft-lbs of torque, the custom-developed 45-degree V-Twin comes mated to a proprietary ARCH six-speed transmission. Representing ARCH’s second official production bike, the new 1s also features ARCH’s first production single-sided swing-arm — a custom-designed aluminum billet item with titanium axle adjusters.
The 1s’ bodywork has also been tweaked, with a revised tail section and a carbon fiber fuel cell with an integrated air intake and filtration system and a hinged, ARCH-branded billet aluminum fuel fill cover. Öhlins was tapped to deliver the 1s’ top-of-the-line suspension package, with a 48mm USD fork and a rear mono-shock — both of which are fully adjustable and were developed by Öhlins in collaboration with ARCH. Boasting a dry weight of 563lbs, this updated hyper-cruiser model also sports new mid-foot controls, a superbike-inspired carbon fiber exhaust, a proprietary ARCH TFT display made by AiM Sports, Bosch ABS-backed radial-mount six-pot ISR monobloc calipers, and ultra-lightweight 17” Blackstone Tek carbon fiber wheels.
Built by hand, the 2023 ARCH Motorcycle 1s Sport Cruiser is available for order now, with pricing starting at $128,000 per build. Like all ARCH bikes, the 1s is a bespoke offering made on a built-to-order basis that will allow customers to select from a wide range of configurable options for colors, materials, and finishes.
