Specialist insurance outfit Hagerty recently launched a YouTube series dubbed “Rendered,” in which it follows renowned concept artist Khyzyl Saleem through his process of bringing radical digital concept vehicles to life. And after previously giving a behind-the-scenes look at the Kyza’s take on Lamborghini’s new Countach, Hagerty has now debuted the second installment in the ten-part series, this time focusing on the creation of a custom Chevy Camaro.

Saleem previously helped design Ken Block’s 1400-hp AWD Ford Mustang “Hoonicorn V2,” so for the latest rendered episode, he’s decided to answer the question, “What if Chevrolet campaigned the Camaro for Gymkhana instead of the Ford Mustang?” Starting with a 3D model of a 1969 Camaro SS, Khyzyl has looked to vintage IMSA racers for inspiration when penning this hypothetical Gymkhana car. In typical Kyza fashion, the Camaro has been treated to a dramatically slammed body kit with ultra-flared fenders, front splitters, a truncated integrated rear wing, and a sharp aero kit.

Riding on five-arm Rotiform wheels wrapped in sticky Toyo rubber, the Camaro has also had its nose and grille substantially tweaked, making for a markedly more aggressive-looking overall aesthetic. The interior of the Chevy has also been reinforced with a full roll cage, while the project’s custom vented hood now features a shaker scoop poking through. So, while it may be a slight departure from his regular fare, Saleem has unequivocally demonstrated that his unique style of transformation can lend itself to just about any genre of car.

The first two episodes of Hagerty’s “Rendered” YouTube Series are both available to stream now on the company’s Youtube channel. New installments of the series are slated to be released each week for the next two months until the series’ conclusion — or at least the conclusion of its first season.
