Since launching in 2006, YETI has come to dominate the on-the-go beverage industry with its top-tier coolers and vacuum-insulated drinkware. In fact, you can’t go many places in your daily life without spotting at least a few Rambler flasks or tumblers in people’s hands.
However, the Texas-based brand has spread its expertise into other areas of the outdoor and travel worlds as well. One of its most impressive items is the Panga Pack, a 28-liter backpack that keeps your gear protected from the elements whether you’re out on the trail or enduring a rainy commute. Constructed with a 100% waterproof ThickSkin shell that combines high-density nylon and thermoplastic urethane laminate, the bag sports the traditional look and function of an everyday backpack but with the abrasion resistance and overall durability of an adventure bag. Housed with super-tough MetalLock hardware, the sizable inside compartment sports a zippered mesh pouch for easy access to smaller items such as your phone or wallet.
Sealed with a HydroLok zipper with a U-Dock end terminal to keep your essentials dry, the Panga 28 also features a HitchPoint Grid on the front that’s compatible with YETI’s Sidekick Dry pouch or an array of other gear add-ons. For comfort, the DryHaul shoulder straps are ergonomically built for all-day wear, while the removable chest strap and hip belt provide extra support for heavier loads.
Available in either gray or tan, the YETI Panga Pack 28 is up for grabs on REI’s web store for $300.
