Studio Underd0g has spent five years proving that watches aimed squarely at grown-up collectors don’t have to be boring. And while doing that, they’ve also built perhaps the most hyped brand in the space as well. The British microbrand’s 02SERIES took the no-nonsense Dirty Dozen field watch template and ran it through a technicolor filter back in 2023, and it’s been a fan favorite ever since.
Now the 02SERIES is back for a second generation. And while the changes look subtle on paper, they touch nearly every part of the watch.

Earlier this year, Studio Underd0g acquired the workshop where its watches are assembled and rechristened it The D0ghouse. That in-house control shows up immediately in the Gen2’s case, which drops from 12mm to 11.5mm thick while the diameter creeps up slightly to 37.5mm.
Strip away the double-domed crystal and the case measures just 9.4mm. For a watch stacking seven dial layers under a sapphire disc, that’s some really impressive packaging. The 100m water resistance and 46mm lug-to-lug carry over untouched as well.
Nightshade and Red L0lly Join the Party
The fully lumed Pink Lem0nade and Steffany Blue dials return, but Full Mo0n and Midnight are officially retired. In their place come Nightshade, a deep purple with red accents, and the cherry-hued Red L0lly.
Rather than painting the color on, Studio Underd0g tints the 1mm sapphire upper dial itself, letting the metallic sunburst layer underneath glow through with real depth. It’s a trick borrowed from the brand’s Fears collaboration, and it gives these two a dressier edge the lineup didn’t have before.
A Movement Built for Lazy Sundays
Under the jellyfish caseback, the old Sellita SW210 gets swapped for the new SW200-2 M Power+, still hand-wound in keeping with the field watch brief. Power reserve jumps from 42 hours to 63.
The Gen2 now lands at $1,200, which is up from the previous $950 price tag. And crossing the four-figure threshold is sure to give some buyers pause, especially for an “affordable” micro brand. But given the case, movement, and dial upgrades all arriving at once though, we still think the juice is still worth the squeeze.
