Perusing Jaeger-LeCoultre’s catalog of archival timepieces is about as boundless as it is bittersweet, especially considering it’s virtually impossible to get your hands on one of them. To the delight of the company’s most adoring collectors and enthusiasts, that is no longer the case, as the Swiss horologist has just announced “The Collectibles,” a constantly-rotating line of coveted examples available to purchase.

Although the program has just begun, JLC’s first collection already features a plethora of iconic watches, including a Master Mariner Deep Sea, Shark Deep Sea, Duoplan Secret, and, of course, a Reverso. Upon receiving the restored timepiece, each one is lavishly presented with a brand new strap, proper paperwork, and, the most eye-catching of all, a complimentary The Collectibles coffee table book showing off what to expect from the lineup’s future examples. The book highlights 17 of the most significant models crafted between 1925 to 1974, which Jaeger refers to as “the golden age of 20th-century watchmaking.”

To ensure each model is in excellent condition, Jaeger-LeCoultre’s restoration team of ten meticulous workers ensures that minimal work has been done to each example’s case and dial. However, mechanical touch-ups may have been significant if necessary. That said, though, the watchmaker’s Heritage team aims to guarantee each timepiece is as close to its original condition as possible.
