Few purpose-built tool watches command the kind of respect that G-SHOCK’s Frogman has garnered over its 32-year existence. A go-to wrist companion for everyone from serious divers to maritime professionals, the amphibious timepiece stands apart in the Casio brand’s range thanks to the asymmetrical case design and ISO certification.
We’ve seen our fair share of frog-inspired Frogman models, but the green-and-black “Master of G” variant that just landed — inspired by South America’s poison dart frog — is arguably the most striking yet.

From Steel to Titanium
Compared to previous Frogman models, Casio swapped the traditional stainless steel case for titanium. Weighing significantly less at 84g (~3oz), titanium brings superior corrosion resistance, which helps this dedicated dive watch withstand the salt water it will undoubtedly face. The case is accompanied by a screw-lock caseback with black ion-plated bezel made of bio-based resin.
Beyond the case material, the GW-8200TPF-1 maintains everything that made the Frogman so beloved years ago, including the ISO 6425 certification at 200m underwater, the asymmetrical form factor that improves usability when you’re wearing dive gloves, and the thick resin shield wrapping for durability.

Nature’s Warning System
The three-striped poison dart frog provides more than just visual inspiration. Those fluorescent green stripes running vertically across the black base mirror the amphibian’s natural warning coloration — a biological signal that says “stay away.” Casio took things further by applying a textured spray coating to the bio-based resin band and bezel, mimicking the frog’s uneven skin. We’ve seen frog-themed Frogmans before, but never with this specific detail.
The green carries through to the digital display accents and bezel text, creating cohesion across the entire package. And naturally, the iconic diving frog character is engraved on the caseback and also visible on the digital display when you activate the LED backlight.

Built for the Deep
Tough Solar powers the GW-8200TPF-1, eliminating battery swaps while keeping functions like dive time tracking, surface interval measurement, tide graphs, and moon data running smoothly. The dive log stores 10 sets of data with one-second increments up to nearly 24 hours.
Casio also included its expected suite of complications, including world time across 48 cities, a stopwatch, a countdown timer, five daily alarms, and a full auto-calendar through 2099. The Super Illuminator LED with selectable duration and afterglow gives you visibility in darkness. With normal use, you’re looking at roughly 14 months on a full charge, or 36 months in power-saving mode when stored.
