The rectangular dress watch has been a stubbornly exclusive club for the better part of a century. Cartier’s Tank and the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso split most of the membership between them, and just about everyone else has been auditioning for a third seat.
echo/neutra, the Italian outfit working out of Averara in the Dolomites since 2018, has spent the last couple of years making a real case for that seat with the Rivanera. Now it has done the one thing this corner of horology almost never allows. It put a pink dial on it.

Antique Rose, Not Salmon
The name here says it all. Ros’Antico mashes together rosa and antico, Italian for antique rose, and that muted, matte pink is exactly what landed on the dial.

Salmon dials have been everywhere lately, so chasing that wave would have been the easy move. echo/neutra went warmer and dustier instead, a shade that feels a bit more vintage leaning.

Two Sizes, Two Personalities
The Ros’Antico treatment hits both Rivaneras, but they’re very different animals under the hood. The standard model measures in at 27mm by 40mm and runs the hand-wound ETA 7001. There’s a small seconds register at the six o’clock, a railway-track minute scale, and those electric-blue hands that pop hard against the pink.

The Piccolo measures 26mm by 33mm and swaps in a Sellita SW1000 automatic, a date at six, and a finely textured Grain de Riz guilloché dial with quieter black accents. But here’s the kicker. The little one costs more, because an automatic movement and hand-worked guilloché outrank raw case size on the price ladder.

Featherweight by Design
Both cases are sandblasted Grade 5 titanium with the Rivanera’s hard angles and mirror-polished bevels, capped by sapphire front and back. The standard case weighs roughly 21 grams, and stands just 5.9mm tall.
