Voitures extravert Unveils an Electrified Porsche 911 RS with 516FT-LBS of Torque

Founded by Martijn van Dijk and Jurgen Moerman in 2016, Voitures extravert is a Dutch firm that strives to keep classic rides on the road by bestowing vintage models with modern-day electric powertrains. And though the company has already debuted four models since its inception, Voitures extravert has now unveiled its most high-performance — and high-end — model to date with an electrified Porsche 911 Carrera RS tribute dubbed the “quintessenza RS.”

Starting with a clean, Voitures extravert-sourced donor, each vehicle is completely torn down, refurbished, and rebuilt using a state-of-the-art EV power plant — with the software being sourced from California and the bodywork fabrication being carried out in Germany. At the heart of the RS is a 227kW (or 308hp) permanent magnet synchronous water-cooled “e-engine” with a six-phase controller that puts down a whopping 516.3 instantaneous ft-lbs of torque — a setup that allows for a six-second 0-60mph time and a top speed of just over 112mph. The e-engine draws from a 59kWh Li-NCM battery that affords roughly 250 miles of range.

The quintessenza RS was also engineered with a major emphasis on overall performance rather than merely straight-line speed, with the resto-modded 911 receiving a custom-built Electronic Magnetic Control suspension setup, along with a ducktail spoiler and larger braking components. Other modern amenities and creature comforts in the car include air conditioning, cruise control, power steering, and a sunroof.

Backed by a five-year/100,000km warranty, the Voitures extravert quintessenza RS is available for order now with an estimated nine-month build time. Pricing for the electrified Carrera tribute has been set at €399,990 (~$453,200).
