Hiroshi Fujiwara has put his lightning bolt on just about everything at this point. We’re talking Air Jordans, Louis Vuitton, Moncler, and even a Maserati. So when the godfather of streetwear finally got around to a motorcycle, we already knew it was never going to be some chopped Sportster. Instead, Fragment Design linked up with Bottrop’s finest and French EV outfit DAB Motors for the Brabus Urban E Fragment Edition.

From a Milan Sidewalk to ComplexCon
As the story goes, Fujiwara wasn’t pitched over Zoom like you might imagine. In fact, he stumbled across the Brabus x DAB bike parked on the street during Milan Design Week, thought it was beautiful, and decided to post it to Instagram.

And just like that, one chance encounter later, we had three brands from three countries were building a motorcycle together. Fittingly, the finished product skipped the traditional moto-show circuit entirely, making its world premiere this past weekend at ComplexCon in Los Angeles.

Black, White, and One Lightning Bolt
True to Fragment’s famously restrained playbook, the whole bike is rendered in black and white, including plenty of matte and gloss finishing. The blacked-out bodywork carries 23 exposed carbon fiber components, from the front fender and belly pan back to the rear winglets.

The white bits are add some nice contrast to the mix, including white-painted carbon wheel covers, white Brembo calipers, and a white leather Brabus Masterpiece seat with Shell quilting supply the contrast. And naturally, Fujiwara’s signature bolt lives inside the translucent LED taillight, formed by the light itself.

Same Bike, Double the Sticker
Mechanically, nothing’s changed on the bike since we last covered it. You still get the standard Urban E’s 37 horsepower, 350 lb-ft of torque measured at the wheel, a 75-mph top speed, and up to 93 miles of city range from the 7.1kWh battery. And all of it is wrapped up in a 320-pound package.

A co-branded capsule of leather gloves, a rider’s jacket, and a fleece zip hoodie rounds out the affair.
