Portland-based knife and EDC company The James Brand is no stranger to teaming up with other brands operating in similar spaces, with the gear purveyor having taken part in a slew of collaborative efforts since its inception in 2012. For TJB’s latest joint effort, the firm has partnered with Aaron James Draplin, linking up with the Detroit-born designer, author, and entrepreneur to deliver a unique limited-edition capsule collection.
Taking inspiration from Draplin’s lighthearted sense of humor and eye for playful design, The James Brand × DDC’s Official Draplin Capsule Collection is comprised of more than a dozen products (14, to be exact), all of which sport Draplin’s signature orange hue. Rather than being unveiled all at once, this new capsule collection is being released over the course of the next five days, with today seeing the debut of the first trio of items in the collection, which are a special edition TJB-branded Field Notes set, a unique sticker pack, and an orange-handled version of The James Brand’s Folsom pocket knife.
The first three items in the James° × DDC’s Official Draplin Capsule Collection are available now, with the James° × DDC: Sticker Pack priced at $5, the slate gray James° × DDC: Field Notes 3 Pack listed at $15, and the Orange & Black Folsom going for $99. Be sure to check The James Brand’s website each day at noon (PST) for additional releases from the collection.
