When it comes to sound equipment, be it turntables or speaker systems, Pro-Ject is as trustworthy as it gets. To keep things fresh and contemporary, the high-end audio brand has unveiled its new X8 Evolution Turntable, as well as a pair of Phono Boxes in the S3 B and DS3 B.
Starting with the latest Phono Boxes, the S3 B boasts a steel and aluminum chassis that, in addition to its polished look, results in a lack of audial interference. Any form of meddling is made even less worrisome thanks to its semi-passive EQ, which optimizes signal-to-noise communication. As far as the more premium option is concerned, the DS3 B provides the same features and composition but comes equipped with additional elements, including balanced inputs and outputs for a more refined sound.
While these two pro amps are impressive in their own right, you’re going to need something to connect to them, which is where the X8 Evolution comes into play. This audiophile-approved turntable boasts a 9cc EVO Carbon tonearm that is finished off with a quartet of stainless steel tips to reduce reverberations. The handmade record player also makes for an exceptional listening experience thanks to its low-output moving coil, diminishing hum and noise whenever you decide to throw your favorite LP on its glistening platter, which is machined from a single piece of aluminum.
Pro-Ject’s new releases are available on its site now, with the phono boxes starting from $499 and the X8 Evolution turntable listed at $2,599.
