If there’s one thing that ’90s kids have made abundantly clear, it’s that they can never get enough of their birth decade’s boundless forms of premier entertainment. Whether it was the angsty music, crude cartoons, or, in this case, game-changing video games, there was virtually nothing not to love, which is why PolyMega has released an extension to help former N64 owners play their favorite titles.
Operable using the brand’s all-encompassing base unit, owners can add the EM05 Ultra Module Set to the Polymega Console and take advantage of iconic titles like GoldenEye, Super Mario 64, and Donkey Kong 64, among countless others. Of course, you’ll need to bring down those old-school cartridges sitting at the top of your closet to do so, but it’s undoubtedly worth it.
Additionally, the device is compatible with Polymega’s Rumble Pak, Memory Pak, and Expansion Park, so there’s no need to worry about quitting and losing your place in the game. Moreover, the Expansion Pak allows you to play a virtually endless library of classic releases dating back to the original NES — again, this applies as long as you own the Base Unit.
Equipped with the module itself and an RC05 Ultra Controller, the bundle is currently available on Polymega’s webshop for $89. Although it is expected to ship out in a minimum of 12 weeks, we expect it to be well worth the wait.
