Microsoft’s tablet-laptop hybrid was one-of-a-kind upon hitting the market nine years ago. Now, it seems like countless tech manufacturers are trying to get in on the dual-device action, but they will have a hard time surpassing the latest generation: the Surface Pro 9.
The world-famous gadgeteer’s 2-in-1 gadget is now better than ever inside and out. Design-wise, it boasts a high-grade aluminum case available in sleek, anodized colors. Weighing just below 1.95 pounds, the Surface Pro 9 offers an even lighter composition than the MacBook Air. The base model is powered by the latest 12th Gen Intel Core i5 processor but configurable to a Snapdragon-powered SQ3 ARM processor to achieve extensive battery life and rapid-fire 5G connectivity.
It features a 13” PixelSense Flow Display that spreads from edge to edge Microsoft describes this display as “more than a sheet of glass,” as its multi-functional array of options allows you to use it for anything, be it a blank sketchpad or a crystal clear streaming station. Unsurprisingly, its interface is optimized for Windows 11 and the company’s flagship smart pen. Further, the Surface Slim Pen 2 can be stored and charged using the signature keyboard, both of which are available separately.
Microsoft’s Surface Pro 9 is available to pre-order, starting from $1,000 for the standard Intel-powered option.
