Master & Dynamic tailors its products toward audiophiles who can appreciate a well-executed design, and its new announcement really shows off that ethos to a tee. The Big Apple-based manufacturer’s MW75 noise-cancelling over-ears check every box necessary, with a high-powered listening experience at the forefront.
The new release serves as the revamped version of the brand’s flagship MW65, offering new features like adaptive noise-cancelling and acoustically tuned microphone chambers. Although the MW75 retains the same pair of custom 40mm Beryllium drivers as its predecessor, it offers a trio of new listening modes, including a pair of refined ambient choices — one of which uses four of the cans’ eight microphones to intuitively adapt the ANC to match your surroundings. These sonic additions result in an incredibly immersive soundscape, making a case for some of the best new headphones on the market.
As far as the design goes, M&D ups the ante with a robust lambskin-leather crafted headband and pair of memory foam ear pads. This smooth material is accentuated by anodized aluminum arms and listening controls. Plus, you can wear these headphones for as long as you please thanks to the boosted battery life of 32 hours (including 28 hours with ANC engaged), which exceeds the MW65’s 24-hour listening time by a whopping 8 hours. Lastly, the MW75 boasts Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, serving as another significant upgrade from its predecessor’s 4.2 compatibility.
The high-end noise-cancelling headphones are available in four sleek color schemes. Take your pick for the price of $599 on Master & Dynamic’s online store beginning June 28.
