Founded in 2013, Master & Dynamic is an American audio brand known the world over for its premium high-fidelity earbuds and headphones. Based in New York City, M&D quickly garnered a reputation for combining clean, modern designs with top-shelf materials and audiophile-grade hardware and components — a formula used to deliver the brand’s MW40 headphones. And after falling in love with the look, feel, and world-class sound of these wireless over-ear cans, the team at Huckberry has opted to link up with the NYC audio outfit to deliver a limited edition pair of Huck x M&D MW40 headphones.
The MW40 features a set of aluminum ear cups capped off with lambskin leather-wrapped memory foam pads and anodized aluminum controls. In place of the normal coated canvas headband, Huckberry has opted to bestow this special edition headphone model with its signature waxed canvas construction, giving these thoroughly modern cans a bit of vintage-inspired flare. This waxed canvas construction has also been used to cloak the outside of the MW40’s ear cups. Further distinguishing the Huckberry-specced model are swaths of OD green leather adorning the headphone’s removable magnetic ear cups and headband liner.
These headphones are able to deliver super crystal clear and ultra-rich audio thanks to a set of custom-developed and custom-tuned 40mm titanium drivers. Tipping the scales at less than 12oz, the headphones draw from a battery that not only offers up to 30 hours of life, but is also able to deliver an additional 6 hours of playback time after just 15 minutes of charging. What’s more, in addition to Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity and a 100’ range, this limited edition MW40 model also benefits from the use of passive noise isolation, native voice assistant compatibility, an internal antenna, connectivity to the M&D Connect app and its customizable EQ, and a dual onboard microphone array with proprietary wind noise reduction technology that ultimately affords best-in-class performance.
Produced in limited numbers, the special edition Huckberry x Master & Dynamic Waxed Canvas MW40 Wireless Headphones are available now with pricing set at just $399 — the same price as the regular version of the MW40.
