Bowers & Wilkins’ Px8 Headphones Are Tailored Toward Lossless Streaming

While Bowers & Wilkins’ Px7 S2 headphones barely surfaced three months ago, the prestigious audio manufacturer has just updated its flagship over-ears and, unsurprisingly, they’re better than ever.

With B&W’s reveal of the all-encompassing Px8, it aims to push the envelope from a sonic perspective. To do so, it had to make substantial improvements, which include advanced DSP for consistent 24-bit sound quality, allowing you to take full advantage of the lossless quality being offered on several streaming services. Additionally, it boasts a new pair of 40mm carbon cone drivers that pave the way for enhanced detail and resolution throughout any song, video, or phone call.

Moreover, the new release boasts a systematically-placed six-microphone array that seamlessly co-exists with one another to deliver crystal-clear calls and optimized noise isolation. Like most other high-end headphones, the Px8 offers impressive ANC capabilities that mirror its predecessor, as there was not much to improve upon in this department. Compositionally, the headphones look as sleek as they sound, featuring, cast aluminum arms, a smooth Nappa leather trim, and memory foam-lined earcups that ensure comfort for as long as 30 hours — yes, the Px8 lasts over a full day with a single charge.

Audiophiles will typically tell you that you can’t go wrong with B&W, and features like this make that hard to argue. The Px8 headphones are available in two colors — Black or Tan — on Bowers & Wilkins’ website for $699.
